Our client, Vanguard, is seeking a Valuations/Pricing Senior Associate to join their team in Dublin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a globally recognised investment management company. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analysing and determining accurate security valuations. This role requires a deep understanding of the Security Valuation workflow, OTC Derivatives and Corporate Actions. Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Valuations/Pricing Senior Associate at Vanguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our fund valuations. You will be tasked with researching, analysing and determining accurate security valuations for all securities held on Vanguard Funds. Your expertise will be vital in reviewing and providing direction on complex security pricing issues. You will also be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of Vanguard’s Fund Accounting & Oversight team, global products/investment instruments and third-party pricing data providers. Your ability to prepare detailed reports for management will be key in driving improvements within the team.

  • Research, analyse, and determine security valuations ensuring timely and accurate valuations of all securities held on Vanguard Funds.
  • Review and provide direction to service providers on hard-to-value securities, static/stale prices, corporate actions, FAS levels etc.
  • Ensure that the valuation process strictly adheres to the funds’ prospectus, pricing policies and regulatory guidance.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Vanguard Fund Accounting & Oversight team, global products/investment instruments and third party pricing data providers.
  • Prepare MIS/dashboard reports for management and establish ownership for corrective action as necessary.
  • Serve as a resource to the Fund Accounting & Oversight team and willingly share expertise.

As the ideal candidate for the Valuations/Pricing Senior Associate role at Vanguard, you bring a wealth of experience in similar roles. With at least five years of related work experience under your belt, you have developed strong relationship management skills and have proven your ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Your proficiency in using Bloomberg and other vendor portals as well as Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, will be crucial in this role. Your ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously will set you apart.

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment, working with multiple and diverse responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with external providers, internal business clients and crew members at all levels.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in using Bloomberg and other vendor portals as well as Microsoft packages particularly Excel
