Overview:
The Production Supervisor position directly supervises 20+ employees at the Food manufacturing facility and is responsible for meeting all safety expectations, production schedules and product quality requirements. Candidates must have excellent communication skills to instruct employees on manufacturing processes, motivate performance, implement continuous improvement activities and work with teams throughout the organization.

Key Ingredients:

  • Ensures quality production standards are followed at all times.
  • Directly supervises and follows up on scheduled work with all associates in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Review production schedule for needs and accuracy
  • Responsible for understanding, communicating, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP).
  • Responsible for the training of all new associates in proper methods and procedures to perform their job safely and efficiently.
  • Continues to develop and lead associates with on-going training.
  • Initiates and follows up on all suggested safety improvements, follows up training of all safety procedures as well as monitoring associates.
  • Ensures equipment availability and proper operation throughout the shift.
  • Ensures all equipment and work area are free of hazards

Recipe for Success:

  • 3 years’ experience in a supervisor or team leader role
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Allow for and be a participant of ongoing innovations and process improvements.
  • Utilize leadership and teambuilding skills for associate growth and retention.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize projects on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Ability to make decisions regarding production needs and requirements
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours, day and night shifts, and scheduled weekends.
