Varsity High Performance Assistant - Casual Part Time
Status: Casual Part Time
Hours: Up to 24 hours/week
Home Campus: Fennell (fully on-site)
Rate of Pay: $20.29 per hour, plus 4% in lieu of vacation

Reporting to the Supervisor of High Performance, the Varsity High Performance Assistant will oversee logistics and planning as related to the Mohawk Mountaineers varsity program.
The incumbent will work alongside the Supervisor, working through logistics of the varsity program including transportation, travel, accommodations, and uniform inventory.
They will assist with meeting all OCAA and CCAA requirements through submission of forms and appendices.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations for meetings and events
- Assists the Supervisor in the planning and responsibility for sport operations and logistics to support elements of the sport high performance plans on an annual basis, including scheduling (competition, travel and facility), equipment/technology acquisition, etc.
- Assists in the development and preparation of updates, reports and performance summaries based on established targets and Mountaineer Performance Indicators (MPI’s)
- Assists with monitoring the Teamworks Platform, coordinating with various staff teams as required
- Guides and provides oversight for the varsity team managers
- Maintaining and suggested ordering of varsity uniform stock
- Planning and coordinating meeting-related activities (e.g. agenda, room booking, disseminating communications and materials, taking meeting minutes, etc.);
- Compiles and analyses data in order to provide recommendations as to appropriate course of action
- Assist in planning and executing high-performance initiatives and community engagement programs.
- Monitor project timelines and progress, providing updates and identifying potential issues.
- Help track and manage budgets for high-performance and community engagement projects.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Two-year diploma in Sports Management/Business, Health Wellness and Fitness/Kinesiology, Business Administration, or Business Administration
- 1 year of previous experience in an intercollegiate athletic department or as a varsity athlete considered an asset.
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the OCAA and CCAA
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
- The ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse students, employees, and communities.
