Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in sourcing and securing inventory for the dealership, playing a key part in ensuring that vehicles align with both market demand and dealership goals. This position is responsible for purchasing vehicles through various channels, including auctions, wholesalers, private sellers, service drive and other acquisition channels.
The specialist will also coordinate transportation logistics, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of purchased vehicles to the dealership. In addition, you will manage the arbitration process for auction vehicles to resolve any disputes regarding vehicle condition or discrepancies. Finally, the specialist will oversee the follow-up process for pending deals, maintaining regular communication with potential sellers to facilitate smooth transactions and ensure that offers remain on the table, adhering to follow-up intervals.
QUALIFICATIONS
§ Proficient in using CRM tools to track customer interactions and streamline communication processes.
§ Familiarity with automotive management software and tools such as VAuto and TradeRev to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
§ Proven experience in vehicle purchasing, particularly from auctions and wholesalers.
§ Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively arbitrate discrepancies related to auction vehicles.
§ Proficient in managing follow-up processes to maintain strong customer engagement.
§ Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interactions with both customers and vendors.
§ In-depth knowledge of the automotive market and industry trends, ensuring informed decision-making.
§ Excellent organizational and time-management skills, adept at handling multiple tasks, including transportation logistics and follow-up schedules.
§ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory management and enhance operational efficiency.
§ Understanding of budgeting, pricing strategies, and cost analysis to optimize purchasing decisions.
§ Capability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions, especially in high-pressure situations.
§ Understanding of sales techniques and customer expectations to enhance engagement and close deals effectively.
§ Commitment to providing excellent service and support to customers throughout the purchasing process
