Capital Hyundai is seeking an energetic, motivating, and self-driven professional to join our team as a Vehicle Aquisition Specialist.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vehicle Aquisition Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of used vehicle reconditioning and ensuring seamless vehicle flow on the lot. This role involves maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized vehicle lot, ensuring vehicles are ready for sale, and supporting overall dealership operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Strong team player with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
· Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capable of working on feet for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in the automotive industry (an asset).
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract (required).
- Certificate of Conduct (required).
Rate of pay: $18/hr + Bonus Pay. This position offers a performance incentive beyond the hourly rate of pay, resulting in an annual earning potential of $44,000-$55,000.
Responsibilities:
- Complete trade evaluations.
- Use vehicle auctions and online selling platforms for vehicle purchase opportunities.
- Select vehicles from the service appointment list and complete vehicle purchase offer to selected customers. Work with sales team to acquire selected vehicles.
- Assist Sales Managers with vehicle pricing. Update price sheets weekly, reflecting discounts or reductions.
- Create and maintain files for used vehicles, including all necessary paperwork (Carfax reports, due bills, etc.).
- Track the reconditioning process through the used vehicle recon log, monitoring time-to-market for each vehicle.
- Arrange for vehicle photography and upload images online for sales listings.
- Maintain a neat and orderly lot, ensuring vehicles meet dealership display standards.
- Keep accurate records of inventory, including vehicle locations, prices, and trim levels.
- Arrange for transportation of vehicles to auctions or other Capital Auto Group locations.
- Ensure used vehicles have the appropriate signage, including mirror hangers, price sheets, and windshield stickers.
- Retrieve vehicles for sales and service customers as needed.
- Monitor vehicles taken for test drives or sold to ensure proper tracking.
- Assist managers with tasks related to new and used vehicles or dealership operations.
- Follow safety policies and procedures to create a safe work environment for staff, customers, and vendors.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned to meet company objectives.
