Description:
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator you will report to the Lumber Operations Coordinator. Your role is responsible for the cost-effective management of all company mobile plant. In your role you will manage the vehicle maintenance programme and vehicle workshop which will see you liaising with internal stakeholders and managing contractors. As the Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator some of your key responsibilities are outlined below:
- work closely with the vehicle work shop contractor to:
- ensure reliability and availability of mobile plant
- manage costs
- generate maintenance tasks and schedules, assigning work to utilise resources effectively
- negotiate mobile equipment contracts
- ensure regular safety compliance audits are completed
- process work orders to ensure known issues and risks are managed appropriately
- ensure sufficient parts and inventory are available
- ensure process are in place for emergency breakdown repairs and/or attend the breakdown as required
- ensure the contracting entities are adhering to the terms and conditions of their service agreement and fulfilling their obligations to the required standard
- ensure all quality checks are carried out and recorded
- ensure that all vehicle and mobile plant service records and associated documentation are accurate and up to date
- provide weekly reports for the management team and communicate on issues when required
This role is a day position, Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm. This role is based at out Whirinaki mill site, 15 minutes north of Napier.
