Description:

Connect Appointments have a new permanent opportunity for a Vehicle Service Technician (with a Class 1 license) to join our Kirkcaldy based vehicle repair and maintenance client.

Working as a Vehicle Service Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work, on a modern fleet of vehicles. As such, you will also be responsible for:

  • Completing inspections and identifying problems and raising these with the Workshop Manager
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs
  • Completing any relevant paperwork and maintaining records of all work carried out
  • Following all company policies and procedures, particularly related to health and safety
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment

Responsibilities:

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE A BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF VEHICLE MAINTENANCE, SUCH AS CHANGING OIL. PLUS, THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, TRAITS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A valid Class 1 license
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proven experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role
    You will benefit from a competitive salary with a range of benefits including overtime, enhanced rates, and more. Weekend on call payments of £80 (with double time for all hours worked with a guaranteed minimum of 2 hours paid).

Working a weekly rotational pattern of day shift and back shift; back shifts will include working a Saturday

  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm (with an early Friday finish)
  • Back Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm (with an early Friday finish) & Saturday 7am to 12pm
