YOLO Recruitment is seeking a Service Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician / Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic / Car Mechanic / Car Technician to join our client’s family run workshop on the outskirts of Colchester.

VEHICLE TECHNICIAN VACANCY

Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £38,000 basic - £50,000 OTE + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. No Saturday rota!

Key Responsibilities for this Service Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician / Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic / Car Mechanic / Car Technician role:

• Perform thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre rotations.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Undertake repairs and replacements using hand and power tools effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient workflow and high standards of service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep the workspace clean and organised.

Requirements for this Service Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician / Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic / Car Mechanic / Car Technician role:

• Level 3 qualification in automotive technology (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Your own tools are essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
