Job description
Rugby Borough Council Work Service Unit requires an experienced, productive Workshop Foreman to oversee the running of the Council’s vehicle workshop based at the Hunters Lane Depot, Rugby.
The role will involve a hands-on approach; supervising a small team of fitters/mechanics to keep the Council’s mixed vehicle fleet, including refuse collection, street cleansing, highways and building maintenance vehicles/plant, on the road.
Experience of municipal vehicle contracts would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will need to be good at communicating with Senior Officers, Managers and all members of staff at the Work Services Unit. Basic keyboard skills and outline knowledge of Microsoft word & excel would be an advantage.
An LGV Class II driving licence is essential for this role.
