Description:
Position: Vendor Assistant Open: 10/18/2024 11/01/2024 or until filled
Role and Purpose of the Vendor Associate
Employees this department are employees who purchase and sell goods or services and are responsible for providing the necessary items for our customers in a timely fashion, as well as ensuring the quality of the items they provide. They also must be knowledgeable about the product or service and be able to communicate effectively with all parties in the transaction. They are responsible for sourcing, procuring, negotiating prices, ensuring quality, managing inventory, and delivering the necessary materials or services to meet the needs of the company.
Essential Tasks as Related to Duties
Ability to understand the specific workflow and process of preparing estimates, processing approved estimates, and invoicing completed work as necessary in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task and engage in multiple projects at a time, and see them to completion
Ability to communicate with vendors both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team when required
Ability to learn programs used within our company
Ability to work with numbers and understand core charges and differing costs between vendors
Resolving vendor or contractor grievances
Managing vendor billing and disbursements
Reviewing and approving supplier invoices
Ability to read and follow manuals
Routing supplies and information to appropriate departments
Detail oriented
Experience with data entry
Great organization skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
SKILLS:
Ability to develop relationships with vendors
Exceptional customer service
Experience with vendor negotiations
Ability to manage multiple projects
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of products and services offered by the Company
Ability to accurately and efficiently carry out sales transactions
Excellent customer service and communications skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
