Southern Research (SR) is at a pivotal moment in its 84-year history. At the start of 2022, SR launched a new strategic plan focused on translational research in the life sciences. SR intends to invest over $150 million in this new strategy, including development of new facilities, platforms, and programs. The Vendor Strategy Program Manager will report to the Director of Platform Informatics. The Vendor Strategy Program Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating complex clinicogenomics data integration projects. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and healthcare industry knowledge. REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT or bioinformatics, with at least 3 years in a project management role
• Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and genomic data formats
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience

Project Management

• Work with cross-functional teams in the execution of data integration projects
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success
