Mechanical Authorising Engineer-
Remote positions working either in the Midlands or London London/Midlands
Monday - Friday Full time
We are recruiting for a brand new team of Authorising Engineers (AEs) to carry out technical and operational audits, inspections and other tasks related to building services systems and equipment. Our AE team will be experts and SMEs in the field and we are looking for Mechanical and Ventilation experts.
You will be working to achieve performance deductions through root cause analysis of non-compliance incidents, audit technical compliance across the estate as well as implementing Mitie’s Safe Systems of Work (SSoW). You will also be involved in investigations and reporting on any incidents, accidents, or failures involving engineering systems and equipment, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and advising on corrective methods.
You should have a proven track record of working as an Authorising Engineer or a similar role within a Healthcare PFI environment and have an understand of how a PFI contract operates. You will have a successful background in Mechanical and Ventilation systems working in a variety of Commercial and Healthcare environments. You should be proficient in undertaking assessment and audit of personnel and processes and be confident in carrying out suitable accident and investigation training. You will have experience and understanding of HTMs:
- Pressure Systems
- Specialist Ventilation.
- NVQ/C&G in Mechanical Engineering
