LNG Canada is a joint venture comprised of Shell Canada Energy (40%) and affiliates of Petronas (25%) PetroChina (15%), Mitsubishi Corporation (15%) and Korea Gas Corporation (5%). The joint venture is building a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Kitimat, British Columbia.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The LNG Canada project is currently nearing the end of the Execute phase for Phase 1 and is maturing towards operations. Supporting the business during the Operate Phase will be the Risk-Assurance and Reporting Team. This team will work as an integrated unit to provide risk management, performance management, assurance and reporting across all levels of the Venture.
The Risk/Insurance, and Performance Lead will support the entire Venture with integrated performance management coupled with risk management and associated insurance policies. Through these activities the individual is expected to drive focus on value creation, protection, and risk mitigation.
The individual will work in conjunction with the Assurance Coordinator (to ensure assurance events are aligned with key corporate risks), and the Reporting Lead (to ensure performance management is effective and accurate). Together, this team, in concert with the entire Finance organization, will play a key role in overall Corporate Governance.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian Citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
- Work in Calgary in the BOW, hybrid working 2 days per week in the office or more as required for stakeholder engagements, leadership meetings, etc.
- Overnight travel to support to Kitimat and other locations as necessary.
