Verafin is a cutting-edge software company focused on delivering next generation fraud and money laundering solutions to financial institutions across North America. Our rapid growth and continuing success means we have an opening for an experienced Revenue Assurance Specialist to join our team!
As part of the Finance team, we are looking for an individual who has strong business acumen, in-depth knowledge of accounting practices, and a passion for all things revenue. The ideal candidate will be detail focused with a passion for helping our finance team. Role Responsibilities

  • Identifying areas of improvement in Verafin revenues and margins
  • Continuously working understand and ensure the highest levels of revenue recognition.
  • Maintaining in-depth understanding of industry trends relative to revenue assurance practices.
  • Promoting quality assurance for all processes impacting revenue.Performing regular reconciliation and analysis of revenue streams. Documenting and monitoring revenue flows across functions
  • Managing any issue that potentially impacts revenues, from identification through to quantification through to resolution
  • Creating queries and reports to support ongoing monitoring of initiatives as well as ad-hoc reports as required
  • Performing data manipulation and analysis
  • Understanding and aggregate revenue assurance activities across the business and ensure they are working effectively
  • Analyzing data/reports to identify opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Measuring and tracking KPIs and outcomes against standards, while planning and taking corrective action where required
  • Working cross functionally with finance, sales, and legal teams

Essential skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Direct experience in a revenue assurance is required, SaaS company preferred
  • 3-5 years in a role where data analysis, data reconciliation and data presentation were required
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles
  • Knowledge of USGAAP considered an asset
  • High proficiency in utilizing Workday, OneStream, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
  • Salesforce experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work with large sets of data to spot trends and anomalies, understand the details while being able to tell the big picture story.
  • Work independently, with an attention to detail and ability to ensure quality and accuracy of output.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines; remain calm under pressure and in the face of uncertainty.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
  • Build strong working relationships
