Verafin - Senior QA Test Analyst

Our rapid growth and continuing success means we have an opening for an experienced QA Software Release Tester to join our team in St. John’s or Toronto. The QA Software Release Tester will be responsible for the testing and the quality of new releases of the Verafin application

Role Responsibilities

• Verifying the quality of new and existing functionality in the Verafin application
• Evaluating product requirements to ensure a thorough testing approach
• Logging bugs, verifying bug fixes and updating bug tracking software
• Preparing and executing dynamic manual test plans and scenarios
• Writing and maintaining Selenium test cases for automation of the application testing
• Contributing to improvements on the Selenium project framework
• Querying the database for test environment setup
• Deployment of weekly and emergency application releases
• Working closely with development team to ensure a high-level of quality in the Verafin application
• Collaborating with the Product Development and Management teams to ensure consistent project execution
• Suggesting solutions to identified product problems and new features

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years development experience
• Programming experience in Java and JavaScript
• Selenium WebDriver experience would be considered an asset
• Experience with QA and release testing for complex web-based systems
• An understanding of the Quality Assurance process and methodologies
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Time management and organizational skills to manage day to day tasks and team projects while adhering to tight deadlines
• Keen attention to details

Would be good to have experience in a few of the following areas:

• Exposure to Microservices
• An understanding of React web applications for automation of manual test cases
• Reviewing and analyzing software and system requirements
