Exciting Opportunity: Senior Software Developer (Fraud Operations) - PST Time Zone
We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Developer to join our Fraud Operations team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges, with a focus on creating innovative solutions. You will use your curious mind, refined problem-solving ability, and code writing expertise to bring fresh new ideas to life. We are seeking candidates to work the hours of 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm NST
What You’ll Do:
- Promptly responding to customer cases to uncover and solve problems in a timely manner
- Working in collaboration with your team, while delivering project requirements
- Building tooling to increase efficiency and effectiveness of product operations
- Designing solutions to solve technical problems within allotted timelines
- Mentoring and coaching team members
- Completing code reviews to ensure quality
- Helping to develop new features, bug fixes and optimizations
What We’re Looking For:
- A university degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a combination of education and previous experience would be considered
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills and creativity to solve complex problems independently
- Capable of managing tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop and interact with large existing code bases
- Experience in object-oriented software development
- Experience with microservices and data lakes
- Experience with automated testing
- Willingness to ask for help, learn from, and mentor others
- Top notch interpersonal, communication and organizational skills making teamwork a positive experience
- Experience in Java (preferred) or C#
- Experience in Python and Scala
- DB experience – working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Excel, formulas and basic dataset analysis
Would be good to have experience in a few of the following areas:
- Core Banking Systems
- Able to design and build systems using Amazon Web Services and Terraform
- Distributed computing and technologies
- Experience with microservices and data lakes
- Big data technologies - EMR, Hadoop, Spark
- Experience working in highly secure, regulated environments
- Able to collect, investigate and summarize datasets from various experiments
- Experience with Atlassian Wiki
- Data extraction, transformation/cleansing, and integration
