Verification and Validation Scientist

EXPERIENCE
- Strong knowledge of both LC and MS instrumentation. Must be comfortable discussing the components of a mass spectrometer, High vacuum systems, ion optics, quadrupole, ion trap and Orbitrap analyzers as well as aspects of liquid chromatography.
- Experience in low volume, high-value, large complex systems such as scientific instrumentation, medical devices, or semiconductor process systems is highly preferred
- Experience with the design of electro-mechanical systems for operation in stress conditions (thermal, chemical, pressure, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Lead verification and validation activities on various hardware platforms
- Work with scientists and engineers to generate sound requirements, develop, perform and document all verification and validation activities.
- Provide validation results back to R&D and suppliers including detailed technical guidance to close identified gaps
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives in material cost reduction, and capacity enhancement
- Other duties as assigned
