IABG Geospatial Solutions department is looking for an experienced Remote Sensing Specialist (m/f/d) to support our young and agile team in the development of tailored solutions. We are acting in an international market and providing services for clients such as ESA, the European Commission or the World Bank. You are responsible for the automated analysis of aerial and satellite imagery data as well as drone imagery data covering a variety of applications such as land use/ land cover, urban analysis, change detection, time series analysis, disaster risk management. Co-working with our team, you are responsible for the development of automated processes in the context of automated image analysis, geo-statistics.

Tätigkeit:

• Elaboration of workflows for automated image classification
• Analysis of satellite and aerial imagery and extraction of user-oriented information
• Analysis of natural hazards, exposure, vulnerability, and risk in the thematic field of disaster risk management
• Development of routines and workflow pipelines for repetitive analysis and automation of processing
• Tailoring and adaption of algorithms to varied data sources or user demands
• Reporting and description of outcomes including statistical analysis

Voraussetzungen:

• University degree in the field of environmental science or geoscience or as a surveyor preferable with a focus on remote sensing
• Practical experience in the field of imagery analysis and raster data processing as well as geo-processing, incl. relevant software packages
• Relevant experience using TensorFlow, Google Earth Engine, Snap-Toolboxes or FME are an advantage
• Good knowledge in programming languages, preferable Python
• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience
• Distinct analytical ability, particularly in the field of statistics
• Very good command (at least C1) of English
