The Vessel Product Lead will oversee and optimise all aspects of ARMADA vessel and USV designs in all technical aspects, including the LARS systems and deck cranes. This role will focus on vessel and USV technical management including the fixed LARS systems, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations that align with project requirements and client expectations. This role is critical to supporting the company’s growth, operational success, and commitment to delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
What you will do:

Vessel Management

  • Plan and oversee vessel technical asset management, and scheduling to maximise operational efficiency and minimise costs;
  • Ensure all vessels and payload LARS systems are set up for operational efficiency, including the remote aspect;
  • Monitor vessel performance and collaborate with OSM vessel managers to address maintenance or operational issues proactively.

Performance Optimisation

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across vessel operations, focusing on safety, sustainability, and efficiency;
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for vessel utilisation, costs, and project delivery.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all vessel operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all aspects of vessel operations.

Leadership and Team Collaboration

  • Provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams involved in vessel management and operations;
  • Support alignment between vessel operations and broader organisational objectives.

Who you are:

  • Extensive experience in vessel technical management and maritime operations, preferably within complex project environments;
  • Strong understanding of maintenance regimes, LARS systems , regulatory compliance, and safety standards;
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage key stakeholder relationships;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a liaison across multiple teams.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with OSM or equivalent vessel management frameworks;
  • Experience in separating operational responsibilities (e.g., vessel vs payload operations);
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimise operational workflows.
