We have a great opportunity at the Cairns Marina for a Vessel Refueller Operator to join our team in Far North Queensland.
Job Description
Reporting to the Cairns Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support of performing refuelling activities for vessels on the Cairns Marlin Marina (includes reef tour craft, fishing vessels etc). You will also complete regular maintenance inspections and perform cleaning of refuelling equipment.
This role operates within a rotating shift 7 days on / 7 days off and is a salaried position with attractive additional annual shift allowance provided.
ABOUT YOU:
- You possess a focussed mindset towards health, safety, security and the environment.
- Ideally you hold fuel or marine industry experience (preferred but not essential), however a general mechanical aptitude will ensure your success.
- You are an effective communicator with the ability to work within teams.
- You possess a positive and flexible attitude.
- Hold a full Drivers’ licence.
- Familiarity (or open to learn) the maintenance work order processes.
- Strong communication with all internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Health& Safety critical processes are implemented and adhered to.
- Promote our culture of ‘Beyond Goal Zero’ showing visible leadership in Health & Safety activities.
- Conduct daily checks of refuelling equipment.
- Complete routine operational observations of Marina facilities.
- Manage deliveries of fuel.
- Assist maintenance works by reviewing contractor Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) risk/hazard assessments.
- Raise incidents reports, assist with investigations, and identify remedial actions.
- Raise maintenance or inspection requests for equipment, if required.
