We are in the game of helping people. The role of VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) Manager is one of a team that provides commercial Registered Training Organisation (RTO) auspicing services and courses (Certificate I to Certificate Ill) to secondary schools and colleges across Victoria and interstate.
The VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) Manager supports the VETDSS department assist schools to value-add and improve the quality of training and assessment within the secondary school environment.
This role is based in Bendigo, Victoria.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with secondary schools and colleges across Victoria and interstate to advise on the choice of accredited courses that best fit their secondary school students.
- Lead a team of School Support Officers providing direct and regular information, advice and guidance on program delivery, student enrolment processes and moderation of activities throughout the calendar year
- Provide direct support to AST partner schools at sites across Victoria and interstate to ensure high-quality training and assessment in auspice VET for School partnerships.
- Manage all formal auspicing contracts agreed between AST and each school, ensuring timely completion and execution
- Support the development of key documentation at the start of a VET program, such as each course’s Training and Assessment Strategy, the Delivery Plan (chosen elective Units of Competency) and Trainer Skills Matrices in accordance with all training and assessment processes as per the RTO procedures.
- Maintain an excellent operational knowledge of VET and RTO compliance requirements in relation to the VET Delivered to Secondary Students programs.
- Provide advice and support to auspice training partners, including Teachers, Coordinators and Principals.
- Travel to sites across Victoria in metropolitan and regional areas and travel interstate to visit partner schools and attend relevant events.
- Attend industry network meetings, Department of Education and Training and Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) events throughout the year to stay updated with relevant sector changes to improve support to partner schools.
- As part of your employment, you will be expected to attend and participate in the following activities within the normal scope of your work: Team meetings; Staff development activities; Marketing activities; Planning activities; and Performance appraisals.
