JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Vet Nurses to join our team on an ad-hoc basis. As a Vet Nurse at Pawkit, you will provide professional medical care to pets in their own homes or other convenient locations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary nursing services, ensuring the health and well-being of the pets you care for. Pawkit will provide comprehensive training and support to help you excel in this role.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certification or degree in veterinary nursing or a related field.
• Proven experience as a vet nurse, with a strong background in providing medical care to animals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments.
• Flexibility to work on an ad-hoc basis
• Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest level of care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of pet first aid and emergency care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.

• Provide medical care and support to pets, including administering medications, wound care, and other veterinary nursing tasks.
• Assist veterinarians with in-home procedures and treatments as needed.
• Conduct health checks and monitor the condition of pets, reporting any concerns to the veterinarian and pet owner.
• Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and general pet health.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and services provided.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for pet care, adhering to Pawkit’s standards of hygiene and safety.
• Respond promptly to any medical emergencies, providing necessary first aid and coordinating further medical care.
• Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
