Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced receptionist to join our successful Okehampton practice.
Working within this idyllic practice located on the edge of Dartmoor you work alongside 6.5 FTE Vets, 5 qualified veterinary nurses, 3 patient care assistants and 4 other receptionists. The practice is RCVS Accredited and is a dedicated companion animal veterinary clinic with modern facilities.
The main duties will involve answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing prescription requests, dealing with clients visiting the practice and taking payments and helping to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within all areas of the practice.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who is an experienced receptionist, used to dealing with the public in sometimes pressurised and difficult situations. We are looking for a confident and outgoing individual, able to provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to our clients and their animals. You will be required to accurately record client and animal information on our IT systems so good IT skills are required.
We are looking for someone to join the team to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday & join a 1:5 Saturday rota.
You may also be required to work at our Chagford branch surgery so should have access to your own transport.
