EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on outstanding client service.
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to handle stressful situations empathetically.
  • Proficient with POS software (AVImark preferred), Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate with all levels of hospital staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional, friendly service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and clients.
  • Greet clients and efficiently manage incoming calls with professionalism.
  • Handle pet admissions, discharges, invoicing, and prescriptions with accuracy and clarity.
  • Respond to medical inquiries, screen service requests, and schedule appointments, ensuring each client feels heard and valued.
  • Manage email and mail correspondence with attention to detail.
  • Keep accurate client and service records using our business software.
  • Assist with medication administration, pet restraint, and prescriptions when needed.
  • Maintain clean, well-organized clinic areas, including pharmacy, treatment, and surgery spaces.
  • Perform general cleaning and sterilization of surgical equipment, as well as laundry.
  • Ensure proper pet identification and maintain clean cages and runs.
