Veterinary CSR
Full-Time

Cats & Critters Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary CSR to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. The ideal candidate will also be cross trained in Reception.

About You
As a CSR, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating client interaction to support services including admitting and discharging/cashing out patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Veterinary Assistant/Reception experience highly preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of animal husbandry/care experience
- at least 6 months customer service experience
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
- Act as a liason between clients and DVMs/support staff
- Answer phones/emails in a polite and professional manner
- Utilize practice management software to maintain accurate patient medical and billing records
- Process payment across multiple platforms, cash handling

Our hospital boasts a unique veterinary environment, AAHA accreditation Cat Friendly Practice Certification. Our hospital has a quiet, calm environment and a loyal client base. We are open Monday - Thursday 8 am to 6 pm, Friday 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday 8 am to 2 pm

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $16 - $18/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
