Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist (Weekends)
Salary: £11.56 per hour
Location: Village Vet, Milton
Job Type: Permanent, Part-time
Hours: Average 8.5 hours per week
Shifts: Alternate weekends (2:4) working both Saturday and Sunday 9:00 to 18:00
Village Vet is looking for a caring, organised and motivated individual to join their exceptional front-of-house team.
Our front-of-house team is the face and voice of our business, making this role exceptionally valued within the team.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with our clinical team to ensure our clients and patients receive exceptional service and care.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have previous customer-facing experience.
- Strong administration and organisation skills.
- Confident, committed and able to work well in pressured and emergency situations.
- Confident using the telephone.
- Reception or Client Care experience is desirable.
- IT skills – confident in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook as a minimum.

We also work closely with other local practices providing 24 hour support as their emergency veterinary provider

Responsibilities:
- Manage and deal with appointment bookings professionally and efficiently.
- Support the business with a range of administrative duties.
- Dispensing medication.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and still maintain a high level of customer service and complete all tasks to a high standard.
- Show awareness of financial control within the practice.
- Be happy to discuss financial issues with clients if needs be
- Management of the practice diary to ensure all patients are booked in efficiently.
- Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Cleaning the consultation and waiting areas throughout the day.
- Serving clients and taking payments, advising customers on products and services.
- Banking duties.
