Gorey Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their professional team.
Gorey Veterinary Hospital is a mixed practice located in County Wexford. We have recently restructured our practice so that we can have a focused Small Animal team running the hospital for all our SA clients and a Large animal team dedicated to all our farm clients. Situated in the sunny southeast, famed for its vibrant markets, local community, coastal beaches and heritage history, Gorey is about 45 minutes from Dublin city. It is accessible by major roadways, train and bus. Our purpose-built hospital has two examination rooms, a dedicated operating theatre and a prep room with a separate large animal examination unit adjacent to the main building. We have on-site radiography, dentistry facilities, ultrasound, hematology and biochemistry machines.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• VCI/RCVS registered or eligible to register with the VCI
• Experience in SA first opinion practice is required
• Competency in routine surgery and first opinion consultations
• Be a respectful, professional and courteous individual
• Able to work as part of a team but comfortable to take sole charge if needed

• Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
• Full-time, permanent position of 40hours/5 days per week
• 1 weeknight and 1 in 6 weekends on-call
• Salary is €55,000-€70,000 commensurate with experience level
• Full funding for any PG certificates / Diplomas /PhD’s you wish to pursue
• 22 days of Annual Leave plus additional Birthday Leave and 5 days of CPD leave; totaling 28 days or 5.6 weeks (excluding Bank holidays)
