Join a welcoming and supportive team. O’Dowd Veterinary Hospital is seeking a mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Ardee, County Louth.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• All applicants must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland and eligible to work in Ireland
• All levels of experience will be considered
• Applicants must hold a valid Irish driver’s license due to the nature of the OOH component of the role

WHO WE ARE

O’Dowd Veterinary is a long established, mixed companion and farm animal veterinary hospital. Our hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house idexx laboratory, a fully equipped dedicated dental suite, 3 consultation rooms, administrative area, large reception area, and much more. We have expanded over the years and we now employ approximately 20 long-established staff. We have an enthusiastic, progressive team of 7 veterinary practitioners, 6 veterinary nurses, an animal care assistant and 5 support staff that provide a full range of veterinary services. We offer a gold standard of care to both patients and clients from our practices in Ardee and a small branch practice in Dunleer. Our practices are only 1 hour commute from both Belfast and Dublin, just off the M1 motorway.

• Full-time, permanent position for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon
• Duties include all aspects of SA and LA veterinary medicine
• 5 days (40 hours) per week including 1 in 4 at most on call
