Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Veterinary Technician college diploma.
  • Would consider an experienced Veterinary Assistant for this role.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Fluent in English (Reading, Writing and Oral)
  • Able to support patients up to 50kg and lift up to 25kg.
  • An experienced Veterinary Assistant will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients (obtain histories, discharges, updates, euthanasia)
  • Create and present estimates to clients
  • Help maintain the flow of the doctor’s schedules/appointments
  • Create treatment sheets on iPads for doctors to finalize
  • Restrain patients for examination or procedures
  • Fill prescriptions to go home with clients
  • Send and receive phone calls and emails
  • Manage daily tasks (lab & radiology reports, filing, callbacks/updates, enter charges, obtaining records, etc.)
  • Ensure patients are clean and comfortable
  • Clean and maintain the exam rooms, overall treatment floor and hospital
  • Work in a very high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Multitask and prioritize cases and daily duties
  • Maintain excellent time management skills
  • Communicate and collaborate in a cohesive team environment
  • Assist in the Treatment area or Client Service Desk may be warranted based on the candidate’s skills
