The Embassy is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated production house, specializing in live-action production, post-production, and animation for feature films, television, and commercials. We are an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands, in film, television and advertising.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of work experience as a VFX PA or other similar production management roles in Visual Effects or feature animation required.
  • College degree in film, art, communications or a related field and/or a combination of education and experience that would be equivalent to that level of professionalism, problem solving and analytical skills is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Google Suite skills required.
  • Flow (formerly Shotgrid), or other production management software experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

The VFX PA will provide administrative support to the production management team and the supervisors.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage meetings and reviews schedules for the Production team and Supervisors; take accurate notes in reviews and meetings and publish them on the Flow production tracking system (formerly ShotGrid) as needed.
  • Under the guidance of the Production Manager or the Associate VFX Producer, assist with schedules and track task progress for assigned artists and sequences in the production tracking system (ShotGrid).
  • Liaise with the Production team across sites to coordinate cross-discipline tasks, deliveries, questions, statuses, and approvals.
  • Ingest deliveries from clients and manage deliveries to clients and vendors as needed.
