We are seeking a Vice President/Account Executive to help lead the future growth of SSRS. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in multi-mode research, a proven track record of business development, has had oversight of a large team, including managing managers, and experience in oversight of revenue. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in client acquisition and relationship management, with a well-established network. Content area expertise is a plus.
The ideal candidate is based in our Glen Mills PA office, but remote work is a possibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the revenue/profit (P&L) for a research group, working towards profitable year-over-year growth.
  • Manage a team of researchers and account managers, including identifying resource needs and mentoring for team advancement.
  • Create budgets, forecasts, and plans for client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Generate sales by developing relationships with new clients and growing and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify client research needs and translate those needs into research designs, budgets, timelines, and proposals, working in collaboration with our methodologists and operations teams.
  • Introduce SSRS products and services to new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and other members of the sales team on the development of new products, services, and processes.
  • Provide leadership and oversight in the execution of research projects, including client management, questionnaire design, research analysis, reacting to challenges, and ensuring the overall successful implementation of large- and small-scale research projects.
  • Represent SSRS and identify new potential clients and business opportunities by attending conferences, presenting research, and monitoring the research marketplace.
  • Collaborate with the executive team and other leaders to identify and advance overall business strategies.
  • Other duties as the needs of the business dictate.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree or higher in social science, business, marketing, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Track record of leadership, strategic management, business development, and people management.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, survey design, and data analysis.
  • Experience designing research, writing proposals, preparing budgets, and monitoring budgets.
  • Ability to lead and direct cross-functional project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in survey research.
  • Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
