Description:
As the Vice President of Business Development for Ports and Destinations, you will be responsible for driving the company’s port development strategy to support long-term growth. Your mission is to secure strategic agreements, concessions for cruise terminals or private destinations, and other key port development initiatives that enhance our global footprint.In this leadership role, you will leverage your expertise in maritime operations, port infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement to lead expansion projects, forge strategic partnerships, and improve the company’s port-related operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10-15 years of experience in port development, maritime operations, or related fields, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- A proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects and navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align port development with company objectives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of global maritime regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to effectively manage diverse, cross-functional teams and external contractors.
- Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, industry bodies, and community stakeholders.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires extensive travel to oversee port development projects, attend industry events, and manage global stakeholder relations.
