MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of business, risk management, or finance with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership and managerial role related to enterprise risk
  • Certification in Risk Management and Financial Services industry knowledge.
  • Experience with an ERM software platform (i.e. WolfPAC, Quantivate and Rochdale Paragon)
  • Leadership skills that emphasize a progressive, collaborative, and service-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications in Regulatory Compliance or Internal Audit preferred.
  • Working experience in banking, credit union or financial services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive level oversight to the Regulatory Compliance Risk, Risk Mitigation, Vendor Risk Management, Information Security Risk, and Corporate Insurance functional areas.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures and practices to identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risk across all areas of the credit union.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to assess and manage risks associated with new products, services and initiatives.
  • Oversee the cybersecurity program and the information security framework.
  • Lead the development and implementation of crisis management and business continuity plans to ensure the credit union’s resilience in the face of unexpected events.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide oversight of asset protection through adequate insurance coverage, claims process, and annual insurance renewals.
  • Act as liaison between insurance consultants and outside legal counsel as needed.
