We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Cyber Threat Simulation WarGame Specialist, VP to join our Cyber Awareness, Training, and Threat Simulation team. This role is located in Manchester – HYBRID.
The Cyber Awareness, Training, and Threat Simulation Team delivers best-in-class cyber simulation exercises to facilitate internal training and to clients as required. This includes planning, executing and preparing reports for BNY’s cyber simulation program and supporting other cyber awareness projects as required.

Responsibilities:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

This role requires an individual with the experience, knowledge, maturity, and presentation skills to represent BNY professionally and effectively and the Information Security Division to lines of business, clients, regulators, senior executives, and other organizations. Prior experience with risk management frameworks and handling audit requests is a plus.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Assist in planning all phases of wargame preparation in conjunction with business teams to include communication with stakeholders and leadership; scenario design; development of educational materials; and communication with technical teams to validate plausibility
Delivers cyber security simulation exercises to audiences which can include senior management, executives, and clients to enhance BNY’s cyber resiliency preparedness
Analyzes simulation exercises to translate simulation findings into lessons learned/observations in discussion with the line of business participants
Providing thought leadership in developing and implementing innovative approaches to cyber awareness
Supports the overall management and strategy of the program, focusing primarily on audit and regulatory requests
Assist in establishing framework for how training outcomes are fed into formal risk management processes

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience), preferably in information security or information technology coursework a plus
Experience in information security or technology risk
Experience in the securities or financial services industry, particularly in risk management is a plus
Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals to enable collaboration with subject matter experts to devise, develop and implement realistic cyber simulation scenarios
Excellent organizational skills and track record of effective and innovative project management and project delivery
Public speaking and adaptive communication skills, and a passion for conveying cybersecurity information to non-cyber audiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Team player who collaborates well with others to solve problems
Experience in developing and maintaining detailed process and procedure documentation
