The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for various aspects of the company’s engineering product development activities. The Vice President of Engineering will focus on the structuring and operation of the product development engineering function as a cohesive unit; the conceptualizing and day-to-day management of simultaneous projects; developing systems and controls to ensure compliance with company, industry and regulatory compliance; delivering quality designs to agreed specifications within time and budget constraints, and the fostering of innovative solutions to customer needs. This position will need to work cooperatively across all levels and business groups of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field
  • Minimum of 20 years of engineering experience in industrial / commercial products environment;
  • Minimum of 10 years management experience in product or application development and engineering;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with global product support and development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Engineering or Business
  • Experience in Value Engineering
  • Experience in high growth organization

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple global projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes with customer satisfaction;
  • Demonstrated team building and leadership skills;
  • Solid understanding of engineering technical issues/needs, financial, sales, and marketing as related to product design/development;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, flexible and high capacity to learn.
    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.

Responsibilities:
