Description:

OVERVIEW

Reporting and accountable to the CVP – Indonesia, the VP Finance, is responsible for all financial activities and compliance within the business and ensuring that the business operates with financial integrity. The role supports the CVP – Indonesia to develop and strategize the business, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship within the team while satisfying and/or exceeding the KPI targets as set by the BoD. They are responsible for accounting of financial transactions. Responsible for all financial matters and to establish company-wide financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs, and practices, which insure the company of a continuously sound financial structure, with due consideration for the wide breadth of rules and regulations across Indonesia and the requirements of Menzies Aviation and the BoD. The role works collaborative with all levels of leadership within the business to ensure that all rules and regulations as mandated by the business and/or pertinent regulatory authorities are being met.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Indonesia finance team for business activities and lead monthly closing.
  • Provide leadership to the accounting team on technical accounting matter.
  • Coordinate with professionals like lawyer, auditor, tax consultant, etc.
  • To develop and provide accurate, timely financial reports, maintaining proper internal controls and proper management processes.
  • Cashflow management.
  • Prepare financial models to evaluate merger and acquisition opportunities.
  • In partnership with CVP - Indonesia, recommend the budget and KPI targets each year to the BoD.
  • To safe guard the business(es), fixed assets, cash and ensuring shareholders dividends are paid as required.
  • To identify threats and opportunities, reporting and working on solutions to deal with it.
  • Strategize through commercial understanding, financial and non-financial information with local and external knowledge to maximize the regional operating performance.
  • Directs the development of the financial segments of the businesses Strategic and Annual Operating plans and actively participates in the development of financial goals, plans, strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Implements/drives performance management processes (lead indicators / KPI’s) across the region.
  • Communicates management information on a timely basis through on going reporting, monitoring and analysis of the historical and projected financial results.
  • Provides measurement and feedback on adherence to targeted financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Identify opportunity areas and provide supporting ad hoc analysis of various operating functions and processes as required.
  • Responsible for the group companies’ budget, forecast, monthly financial report, internal and external reporting, and analysis
  • Preparation and presentation of financial data to the leadership team. (Including weekly flash report, monthly updates, etc.). Monitor achievement against plan, advise management of deviation and recommend action plan to re-establish performance objectives in line with agreed targets. To study any projects that maybe of potential and profitable growth of the company, submitting papers for the relevant approvals and authorisations.
  • To identify threats and opportunities, reporting and working on solutions to deal with it.
  • Coordinate and lead the finance team to establish, enhance, and enforce process and procedures while ensuring all governance controls are maintained.
  • Understanding of JV partnerships, structures, and business matters.
  • Build people, process, and system capabilities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Other tasks as may be assigned.
