Description:
Vay has developed an alternative approach to autonomous driving called teledriving (remote driving) - to solve transportation in metropolitan areas.
Vay is the first company that has driven a car on European public roads with no one inside. Vay is the leading teledriving company setting the global standard for remotely driven vehicles. Vay aims to launch a safe, affordable, and sustainable door-to-door mobility service in the US, Germany and beyond. With its first service, Vay plans to remotely deliver and return electric cars for its customers.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
The VP of Finance will be reporting directly to the CEO. The role will sit on the executive team and will be critical as we scale our B2C business en route to fundraising for our Series-C toward the end of next year. Alongside the CEO, this role will be jointly responsible for raising capital so that the business can deliver on its potential.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the finance team across all aspects of FP&A, accounting, controlling, treasury, and tax. The team currently consists of 3 FTEs and 1 Intern
- Implement processes that enable accurate forecasting, internal controls, and continue to develop a culture of cost-consciousness, strict on non-essential costs but willing to invest when it is strategically important
- Lead the financial planning and budgeting of the company
- Weigh in on capital allocation with the C-Suite and board, and specifically through the budgeting process
- Lead all financial modelling, most importantly for:
- Unit Economics
- Cash Flow Scenarios and Management
- Fundraising
- Lead preparation of quarterly investor reporting & financial statements reporting
- Lead the entire data room and due diligence for fundraising activities
- Lead external engagement with Finance partners, including; banks, auditors, tax consultants, and insurance companies on all matters related to the financial management of the business
