Job Description
AECOM is looking to hire a Vice President, Microsoft Client Account Manager. This role will be a primary contact and leader for AECOM’s relationship with Microsoft, one of our largest and most significant global clients, with projected annual revenue of $50m across all of AECOM’s global regions and business lines (Buildings+Places, Water, Environment+Energy, Transportation, and Federal). You will report to our Global Technology Market Sector Leader, and be responsible for growing AECOMs business with this client, with a particular focus on growth in the US. KPIs for this role will be focused around sales revenue, profitable delivery, client satisfaction, strength and seniority of relationships, and new services offered created.
The ideal candidate is a growth oriented, resilient, and inspiring leader who is well-connected in the data center industry, adept at building new relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear and actionable strategy to deliver profitable, organic growth of the account, aligned with our global technology sector strategy
  • Establish yourself with Microsoft as a visible, global leader who adds value and delivers successful outcomes
  • Provide leadership and direction to the global multi-disciplinary teams, promoting all of AECOM’s services.
  • Influence the decisions of AECOM’s leadership across the business to better align with Microsoft’s priorities and needs.
  • Develop and maintain senior client relationships
  • Work with regional teams to anticipate issues and continuously improve quality
  • Serve as a connector across parts of AECOM’s business to delivery unique, collaborative, and differentiated solutions to address Microsoft’s strategic challenges.
  • Raise AECOM’s brand within the industry through thought leadership and conference speaking engagements
  • Actively support the attraction and retention of client account management talent through mentoring
  • Grow and maintain a network with current and potential clients utilizing industry reputation, experience and knowledge to develop new prospects and expand existing business.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Architecture Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams
  • 5 years of experience in data center development
  • Experience working with Microsoft data centers
  • Existing relationships with Microsoft’s data center delivery teams
  • Experience delivering non-data center projects (i.e. corporate real estate, civil infrastructure, etc.)
  • Experience in successfully delivering growth
  • Recognized industry leader who is well connected
  • A strong collaborator who thrives in a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Understands how to pull teams and solutions together from across the company (across disciplines and regions, including globally) to strengthen client relationships and achieve successful outcomes (client satisfaction, repeat business, high quality project delivery).
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and lead by influence
  • Self-motivated, strong leader with significant experience in a client facing role
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Willingness to travel domestically and globally
