Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, this role provides the authority, autonomy, and responsibility to lead AgeCare’s HR strategies focused on recruitment, retention, employee satisfaction, and leadership development. As a key member of our senior management team, you will shape and implement HR policies, drive organizational excellence, and champion AgeCare’s commitment to being a leader in senior care.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & HR Operations
  • Lead and collaborate with the HR team to foster a strong partnership with operations, ensuring seamless execution of organizational goals.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with AgeCare’s goals to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and communication of HR policies, ensuring legal and quality compliance.
  • Guide senior management and HR teams on performance management, discipline, and employee relations.
  • Oversee workforce planning and development, including talent acquisition strategies.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with budget.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Drive employee engagement through surveys, feedback analysis, and action plans.
  • Implement leadership development programs to coach, mentor, and prepare future leaders.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and regional HR standards.
  • Lead risk management efforts, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
  • Support the Qmentum Accreditation Canada process to maintain high standards in service excellence and governance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Provide regular and ongoing Total Quality Management (TQM) and outcomes reporting.
  • Monitor HR metrics, benchmark performance, and implement best practices to strengthen AgeCare’s industry leadership.
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management
    Oversee SLAs with third-party vendors, ensuring that AgeCare’s outsourced HR functions receive timely, accurate, and high-quality support.
