We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Credit Risk II to join our Public Finance & Not-for-Profit Credit Risk team. This role can be located in New York, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; or Lake Mary, FL in a Hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Analyzing, preparing and/or reviewing financial analyses for credit approval by Credit Risk (Second Line of Defense) in response to credit requests from First Line of Defense for a diverse array of public finance and not-for-profit borrowers/counterparties on transactions such as direct lending, securities financing, and foreign exchange / OTC derivatives. Sectors include U.S. state & local governments and agencies, endowments and foundations, colleges & universities, and cultural & religious organizations.
Collaborating with internal business partners and First Line of Defense to evaluate purpose of financing, sources of repayment, and quality of collateral (if any) and other terms and conditions of each transaction.
Evaluating and monitoring sectoral trends and creditworthiness of assigned borrowers, making recommendations on internal borrower risk ratings based on the review of annual and interim financial statements, collateral valuation reports, rating agency reports, etc.
Supporting the identification of existing and emerging risks applicable to the Public Finance / Not-for-Profit loan portfolio; assisting with Credit Risk’s risk management and regulatory reporting efforts in the development of loan portfolio data documentation and reporting, and utilization of in-house AI capabilities.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
Minimum 4 years of total work experience required. Rating agency or municipal buy/sell side experience a plus.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
Strong analytical skills
Experience reviewing and knowledge of official statements, audited financial statements, and industry standard documents e.g., ISDA Master Agreement, CSA
