Location is flexible, within Alberta, dependent on the successful applicant.
However, periodically may be asked to work in other AFSC branches. Travel in these circumstances will be reimbursed according to AFSC’s Employee and Board of Directors Expense Policy.
Reporting to the Chief Client Officer, the Vice President Insurance/AgriStability/LPIP is responsible for overseeing the Insurance, AgriStability and LPIP function as it relates to delivery of these products. The role is tasked with providing direction, management and leadership to the Insurance/AgriStability/LPIP teams, as well as building upon and improving existing policies, and procedures, establishing departmental goals, and ensuring that expectations are achieved, and insurance-related activities are in full compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and governance guidelines. Contributes to the formulation of the strategy and execution, participates in strategic planning, and develops and executes the department’s tactical plan to support the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives.

Education & Experience
- 10 years of combined education & experience in agriculture insurance and or/financial services industry
- Leadership/management experience to lead and motivate staff
