We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Network L2 Support Engineer to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) - Production Services team . This role is in Manchester via hybrid in office work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Provide support and manage the bank network infrastructure components such as router, switches, wireless, firewalls, web proxies, load-balancers and DNS. Resolve faults and failures. Lead root cause analysis and apply necessary solutions.
Subject matter expert on Routing, Cisco ACI, and Cisco NDFC.
Implement a range of network changes, minor to major, across the BNY infrastructure.
Act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for any technical type of queries.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
Extensive hands-on implementation and troubleshooting experience across network technology products. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Experience with monitoring, diagnostic and analytics tools to troubleshoot network issues and problems.
Solid understanding with BGP routing protocol.
Solid understanding with QoS, end-to-end performance and fine tuning.
