Description:

This newly created Vice President (VP) of Finance position will play a critical leadership role in the growth and sustainability of Chileda. The Vice President (VP) of Finance will be responsible for overseeing Chileda’s financial management. Among other responsibilities, the Vice President (VP) of Finance will coordinate the development of an annual budget that aligns with Chileda’s strategic plan, monitor financial performance, and position the organization for financial sustainability and growth. The Vice President (VP) of Finance will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (CEO).
Chileda’s mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavioral challenges. Chileda’s goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming. Chileda’s population includes children and young adults with special needs, including Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, Attachment Challenges, related developmental delays, and intensive behavioral needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in business, management, or a related field or a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial leadership. CPA license preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience managing a financial department.
  • Proven experience organizing and implementing comprehensive budget-planning processes, as well as monitoring and improving financial performance.
  • Must be highly organized and be able to work with confidential information and able to adapt to a fast-paced office with constant change.
  • Advance skill-level in Microsoft Office products and accounting software. Working knowledge of MAS90 / Sage software products is preferred but not required.
    The hours of work may be required during evenings and weekends. This is an exempt, benefited position averaging a minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
    COMPENSATION: This position has a start pay range between $130,000 - $150,000 depending on qualifications, experience, and education.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the primary duties and responsibilities of this position successfully. The person in this position needs to occasionally walk about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and conference rooms. There is constant use of hands/fingers to operate a computer and frequent use to operate phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Must be able to talk and hear to communicate with and exchange information with co-workers.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily done at a desk in an office environment. There may be some interaction with students throughout the education building
