How you make a difference:
The Vice President of Governmental Programs (VP GP) supports and assists the clinical and operational leadership in developing and implementing initiatives related to the organization’s ability to participate in government-funded programs for incarcerated individuals (for example 1115 Waiver programs). The VP Participates in various partner and potential client meetings and gathers information about challenges related to participation in governmental programs. Provides consultative assistance with development and/ or modification of program policies and procedures in accordance with newly developed governmental programs and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to develop and implement government programs supporting incarcerated individuals, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and execute strategies for securing new government programs, focusing on profitable revenue growth and expanding collaboration with government agencies, community organizations, and healthcare entities.
  • Conduct needs assessments, provide site-specific recommendations, and identify care gaps to facilitate participation in government-funded programs, such as 1115 waiver programs.
  • Foster strong relationships with partners during program implementation, regularly soliciting feedback to ensure satisfaction and successful collaboration.
  • Support the Business Development team with proposal reviews, staffing plans, oral presentations, and participate in partnership development activities within and outside the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, mental health field, healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or related. Master’s degree is preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the administration of governmental programs, ideally in the correctional healthcare space.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must maintain CPR certification and other specified certifications.
  • Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) preferred
