Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, plus 10+ years of applicable experience required.
  • Experience in a global company is essential as well as strong business acumen for understanding business priorities, opportunities and challenges, and external influencing factors.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence and facilitate discussions at all levels, solve challenges and build partnerships.
  • Professional HR certification preferred

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible the strategic and operational leadership of WPO’s Human Resource’s function. In this role, you will partner with our Chief of Staff, regional HR Directors, and senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s goals, drive organizational performance, and foster a positive work culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization’s overall business goals.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the executive team on all HR matters, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Lead the HR department in creating and implementing initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Connect and aligns strategies, resources, and approaches across all facets of HR and other cross functional intersections.
  • Ensuring WPO’s help-centric culture thrives and serves as a strategic advantage for the organization as it continues to grow and change.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development programs.
  • Ensure the organization has a robust talent pipeline to meet current and future business needs.

Employee Relations and Culture:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Implement and manage employee relations to address and resolve workplace issues.
  • Champion the company’s values and culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Develops guidance to empower HR and management, furthering the people-first, talent-first mindset.
  • Creating and maintaining an environment where people can be their authentic self in every aspect of their life.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure that compensation practices are fair, equitable, and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Stay current with market trends to ensure the company remains an employer of choice.

HR Operations and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, provincial, and local employment labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are consistent with best practices and support the organization’s goals.
  • Oversee HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure commitment to environmental impact through all HR related programs and policies

Organizational Development and Change Management:

  • Lead initiatives to drive organizational change and enhance overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement programs that support the organization’s growth and development, including training and development, succession planning, and performance improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to manage and navigate organizational changes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
