Description:

Wagestream is on a mission to bring better financial wellbeing to frontline workers.
We partner with some of the world’s most famous employers, like Asda, Burger King and the NHS to give their teams access to fairer financial services - all built around flexible pay. Over three million people can now choose when they’re paid, track their shifts and earnings, start saving, use budgeting tools, get free financial coaching, and access fairer financial products. All in one financial wellbeing super-app.
Wagestream is unique: VC-backed and growing at scale-up pace, but with a social conscience. Some of the worlds leading financial charities and impact funds were our founding investors, and we operate on a social charter - which means every product we build has to improve financial health and reduce the $5.6bn ‘premium’ lower-income earners pay for financial services each year.
You’d be joining a team of over 200 passionate, ambitious people, across Europe and the USA, building a category-leading fintech product and all united by that same mission.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a revolutionary Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts. This individual will be responsible for shaping and executing our marketing strategy across all disciplines - including brand, demand generation, product marketing, PR, and communications - driving growth and brand awareness in our key markets.
Reporting to the COO, the VP of Marketing will set the strategic direction, leading high-performing teams while working cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams to achieve our ambitious goals.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in a senior B2B marketing leadership role, ideally within fintech, HR tech, or SaaS sectors.
  • A track record of scaling marketing functions in high-growth, international businesses.
  • Strong understanding of demand generation, digital marketing, and brand development.
  • Experience in launching and positioning products across multiple geographies.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and act on marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing budgets and driving measurable ROI.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Working Policy: We follow a hybrid working policy, with three days a week on-site at our London office.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive global marketing strategy aligned with Wagestream’s business objectives.
  • Brand Management: Build and strengthen Wagestream’s brand positioning, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Demand Generation: Drive pipeline growth through multi-channel marketing initiatives, including digital, events, partnerships, and account-based marketing.
  • Product Marketing: Collaborate with product teams to create compelling messaging and go-to-market strategies for new and existing features.
  • Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to accelerate growth in the UK, Europe, and US, adapting tactics to local market dynamics.
  • PR & Communications: Oversee thought leadership, media relations, and corporate communications to elevate Wagestream’s presence and influence.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and insights to optimise marketing performance, ROI, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team across multiple regions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sales, product, and customer success teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
