Description:

Job Overview:
As the Vice President of Property Services is responsible for all management aspects across multiple mobile units in a specific geographic area which encompasses Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Training, Sales and Special Projects. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers and promoting the use and development of mobile maintenance services and establishing a successful in-unit owner services product. The Vice President of Property Services will work closely with the New England Leadership Team and will report to the Market President.
The position is responsible for all aspects of managing the mobile units and assigned associates. The successful candidate will also work with company representatives to recruit and onboard new locations, arrange for equipment, materials and workforce required to open an operation of this type, and train Associates in the performance of day-to-day functions that will ensure an efficient operation. The successful candidate will develop standards in the operations that define an expectation high quality service and service delivery.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

In order to solicit business and effectively sell services, the successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of maintenance services in the industry and geographic market. The successful candidate must develop a good knowledge of regular operations and ability to compare strengths and weaknesses with those of the competition. Successful candidate must be capable of providing in-depth explanations of policies, including pricing and repair capabilities, and be able to handle sensitive sales situations with minimum impact on businesses. The successful candidate will build relationships internally and externally to promote services and understand barriers to grow meaningful services in a valuable way to promote the Company’s capabilities and services.

  • Ability to direct and manage assigned employees on the maintenance team including maintenance technicians and administrative support
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic selling skills and related customer relations.
  • Ability to operate a computer and mobile device to access and maintain information through the appropriate software.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be able to travel outside of the normal place of work via automobile.
  • Proficient ability in problem solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong ability influence, persuade and motivate individuals or groups to achieve desired outcomes in a professional and morally ethical way.
  • Ability to track and ensure vehicle and fleet maintenance
  • Climb ladders to heights of approximately 14 feet high, bend, stoop, stretch, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. to set up tables and to attach to tank cars.
  • Be able to tolerate both heights and confined spaces.
  • Have keen visual and audio acuity to recognize various shop danger warning signals to avoid injuries and promote a safe working environment.
  • Possess considerable stamina to perform the essential functions over a large properties.
  • Be willing and able to wear safety equipment such as, but not limited to safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs and respirators.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • General Contractor License, preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of related work experience in a maintenance/handyman/construction environment with supervisory leadership skills.
  • Experience leading or supporting multiple sites is beneficial.

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. Compensation: $130000-150000 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Develops service offerings and standards for maintenance services
  • Creates and maintains high brand standards
  • Oversees the overall management of mobile assigned to the business to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Promotes and sells new business opportunities to internal and external customers. Solicits and negotiates new location sites to promote company expansion that will generate increased company revenues.
  • Recruits and trains employees in accordance with the company’s safety, environmental policies and programs, and enforces compliance with published work rules.
  • Responsible for initial training of all employees and ensuring on-going skill training programs exist to inform and educate all staff.
  • Develops standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery by maintenance staff.
  • Assists with production and material scheduling to maximize shop efficiencies and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies process to identify potential maintenance problems to reduce eliminates risk through preventative maintenance.
  • Provide instruction to front line supervisors in proper operational methods required to minimize downtime to equipment failure.
  • Demonstrates leadership and empowers subordinates to establish a productive work environment that encourages a team approach for continuous improvement to achieve the company’s vision.
  • Participates in and actively supports quality projects, activities and responsible care initiatives to ensure that the Company achieves its goals.
  • Manage pricing and scheduling to ensure revenue exceeds costs and generates profit for the organization.
  • Support property managers with community reserve study reviews and make recommendations; evaluates infrastructure, facilities, and operating systems for repair and maintenance.
  • Comply with all federal acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
