CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, preferably within the senior living industry, with a successful sales leadership track record.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies and methods.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive occupancy and revenue growth across all senior living communities.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of sales training programs, including onboarding, ongoing education, and advanced sales techniques to boost team performance.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions for new sales team members, ensuring they are well-versed in our community offerings, sales processes, and best practices
  • Develop and lead programs that equip senior Community Relations Directors (CRDs) with the skills to train and mentor new and existing team members.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the Community Relations Directors to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Roll out and track sales contests.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and training impact. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Optimization to develop tailored training solutions for underperforming communities.
  • Create a standard for model rooms and provide community resources to order supplies as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape to guide sales strategies and training programs.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and community leadership to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Ensure sales teams have the necessary collateral.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes and training methodologies to ensure best practices and optimal results.
  • Support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new sales team members, ensuring they are set up for success. Participate in the final interview process for CRD candidates and provide recommendations.
  • Develop and manage the sales development and training budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Identify opportunities for budget reduction.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support sales initiatives and training efforts.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining sales training materials, manuals, and other resources.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and motivating environment within the sales team, encouraging continuous learning and development.
