Overview
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Product owner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing clarity to complex problem statements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of our products.
Key Responsibilities:Product Execution:
Strong understanding of banking services and/or government contracting.
Collaborate with engineering, legal/risk, and operations teams to break down blockers and develop effective solutions.
Develop and write specifications for major features, ensuring the right amount of detail is included.
Think through and specify complex functionality, making trade-off decisions to launch high-quality products.
Negotiate the implementation of current work and escalate issues to managers when necessary.
Identify and triage issues with specific features, understanding how multiple features are interrelated to catch more complex problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
1-3 years of product experience, with 3-5 years in the financial industry.
Strong understanding of banking services and/or government contracting.
Experience working with engineering, legal/risk, and operations teams.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Bring clarity to ambiguous problem statements and drive solution delivery.
Work with technology and product teams to track and maintain the scope of backlog features across cross-POD teams.
Identify the right PI Planning Cycle to complete work.
Participate in creating documentation required for Agile ceremonies.
Collaborate with other product teams to identify PI and iteration Agile ceremonies.
Define user stories and work with cross-POD teams to refine stories.
Hold decision-making accountability and guide decisions made in collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams.
