Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President, Pork Sales, is responsible for maximizing commodity sales through moving sales up the value optimization pyramid. Primary focus is growing and expanding Retail & Foodservice Customers and ensuring best sales return in the CIE sales channel. The individual provides leadership, strategic guidance, and overall stewardship across the value chain for the pork channel, with internal and external stakeholders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Commodity Sales teams;
  • Develop Sales strategies, growth plans and programs that deliver sustained performance and profit objectives through tailoring and execution of interactive sales strategies, tactics and initiatives;
  • Grow Sofina margin, manage costs, negotiate, and own customer agreements, and provide vision on profit initiatives by assessing pricing strategies and aligning these strategies to market execution;
  • Development and execution of Commercial Industrial Export sales strategies utilizing superior product knowledge and through understanding of the industry and its’ cycles;
  • Develop and drive optimization strategies and guide execution from bottom line perspective by effectively utilizing margins, yields, costs and other information available for business decision making.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree is a pre-requisite;
  • Thorough knowledge of government relations in related proteins;
  • A subject matter expert within the assigned protein with recognized industry expertise and proven track record of achievement;
  • Proven track record of success in Retail, FS and/or Commodity sales, preferably in Pork.
